Recipe - Fleas-Be-Gone (Rachel Ray) - September 2016

Yields: about 3 dozen                             Originally From Rachael Ray
Prep: 20 mins
Bake: 40 mins

Ingredients:
2 1/2 Cups Whold Wheat Flour
1 Cup Chicken Broth (Or Water)
1/2 Cup Brewer's Yeast
3 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

2. In a large bowl, stir all the ingredients until a dough forms. Turn out onto a lightly
floured surface and roll out to 1/4-inch thickness.

3. Using a 2- to 3-inch cookie cutter, cut into shapes (we vote for bones!) and divide
     between 2 ungreased cookie sheets.

4. Bake the biscuits until browned and crunchy, about 40 minutes. Let cool. Store in an
airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

I have made these biscuits once in July of 2015 before we started using the Seresto flea collar. Chip was really interested in eating the dough before it was cooked. Afterward he was slightly unsure of them, but eventually came around. As for them working to keep fleas away I can't say that they helped, but I don't feel that they hurt either.

Sincerely,

Chip & Jessica
