Dachshund Kitchen Themed Decor

Upon moving into our apartment almost three years ago, I had a sort of vision as to how I wanted to decorate most of the rooms. I knew I wanted a beach theme in the bath room, a Paris/London theme in the bed room, and a Moose/Country theme in the living room. This left me with two rooms I wasn't sure about. the dining room and kitchen. The dining room theme came to me shortly after, Wizard of Oz. The kitchen theme alluded me for a while longer.

While shopping at Dollar General one day I found a new seasonal line of towels and oven mitts that had dog themed things all over them and that's when I knew. My kitchen shall be Dachshund/Dog themed, and so it was from then on!

Below are pictures of all the decor items I have that fit into the Dachshund/Dog theme.

Above my kitchen sink I have no window, so I hung the clock and two fork pictures before I decided on the Dachshund theme. Afterward, I added a wooden box sign (seen better below).

Purchased at T. J, Maxx.

Below the box sign I have a self hung on the wall above the sink where I store a few kitchen items (flower shaker, powdered sugar shaker, oil spritzer, and toothpick dispenser).

Dachshund ring holder Chip (& his dad) got me for my 1st Mother's Day.

On both sides of the clock, fork pictures, and box sign I have three shelves for nick-kacks. All of course are mostly dog themed and seen below.

Top left: Box sign #1 & kissing Chihuahua salt & pepper shakers #1.
Middle left: Dachshund salt & pepper shakers #2 & box sign #2.
Bottom left: box sign #3 & Onion keeper.
Top right: box sign #4 & Dachshund garden decor figurine.
Middle right: Kissing Dachshund salt & pepper shakers #3 & box sign #5.
Bottom right: Box sign #6 & tomato keeper.

All of they box signs read as follows:
#1 "Kiss your dog daily" - Purchased by me at T. J. Maxx $
#2 "My kids bark" - Purchased by me at T. J. Maxx $
#3 "I work hard so my dog can have a better life" - Purchased by me at T. J. Maxx $
#4 "Wag more bark less" - Purchased by me at T. J. Maxx $
#5 "All you need is love and a dog" - Received as a Christmas gift
#6 "Time spent with dogs is never wasted" - Purchased by me at T. J. Maxx $

Salt & Pepper Shakers:
#1 Purchased a long while ago, from L.T. D. Commodities. (If I remember correctly.)
#2 Received as a Christmas gift, they were from Target.
#3 Received as a Christmas gift, bought on Amazon.

The Dachshund garden decor figurine is from Big Lots, $6, in 2015. I did see them again in 2016.

Dishwasher magnet from Amazon.

I have built up quite a decent collection of oven-mits and kitchen towels, both holiday themed and everyday.
Valentines towel from Bon Ton.
Halloween towel from Bon Ton.
Towel set from T. J. Maxx.
Towel set from T. J. Maxx.
Towel set from T. J. Maxx.
Red, White, and Blue towel set from T. J. Maxx.
Dollar General towel.
Dollar General towel.
Dollar General towels.
Dollar General oven-mits.
Dollar General Christmas Towels.

And thus the Dachshund/Dog themed kitchen was born! If you have any questions on anything please don't hesitate to leave them in the comments and I will do my very best to answer them! I will also try to link as many things as I can find below.

Sincerely,

Chip & Jessica
