Merry Barkmas!

Due to the fast approaching Holiday the regularly scheduled posts have been lacking and delayed. We hope that you understand and will remain loyal readers until our return! We are trying our best!

From all of us at A Dogg's Tail we want to wish you and yours the very best this holiday season!

Posts will hopefully be returning to normal in January. Be sure to stay tuned!

Recipe - Salt Dough Ornaments - December 2016

Ingredients:
1 cup salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup water

Other Tools:
parchment paper, wax paper, or aluminium foil
rolling pin
cup/cookie cutters (cutting shapes)
straw/pen (for punching hole)

Directions:
1. Mix salt, flour, and water in a bowl until it becomes firm.
2. Knead dough for 30 seconds.
3. Roll out dough. The thicker the dough the longer it will take to dry.
4. Cut out shapes.
      - For paw print ones I cut circles with a glass. Then press your dog's paw into it.
5. Use straw/pen to cut a whole for the ribbon to hang the ornament.
6. You may bake them in a 200 degree oven for 2-3 hours. (I believe I left ours sit out overnight.)
7. Once cooled and dried out paint or decorate as desired.

I painted ours with craft paint and put string on them to hang them.
